Socks....

Thing is, I like strippedy socks. I don't know that, strippedy is a word, but I use it and I like it...so in my world it's a word. Problem is with strippedy stocks if you can't find it's mate you can't mate it with another.....OR CAN YOU? I am loving that there is a place in this world called Mismatch. I like the concept. It speaks to me. I have a tendency to be somewhat like Punky Brewster....or Cyndi Lauper in the 80's....it's who I am and I'm ok with it. My own style of sorts. I read in last years Scrapbooking Hall of fame one of the winners listed her quirk as she sometime wears mismatch socks.....She was a CK Hall of Famer......which good or bad I have the utmost respect for, that is a tough contest. So a respectable scrapbooker, out there in the world....wears mismatched socks, suddenly that makes it ok....with me anyways. I haven't done it yet...but when I do I will be sure to report if I was laughed out of my workplace. Come on confess do you ever wear mismatched socks? No one really reads this, no one will ever know.

"Confess?" Sure. I'm fine with the wearing of mismatched socks. I pair my socks out of the dryer, like most people. So when I reach for socks they're generally paired up already. But? If I can't find a pair, and I need some socky goodness? I'm not above going for the mismatched variety. What does it matter, right? I'm either at home or wearing jeans at this time of year so it's not like anyone is going to notice. I don't wear socks in the summer unless I'm running so I don't know that wearing a big old purple sock/green sock combo to Kings Island would ever happen and that's a different conversation I guess.

Can't say I'd wear mismatched socks unless it was wear mismatched socks to school day. I have, however, worn mismatched shoes. Last year, as a matter of fact, have 2 pair of black leather clogs/slip-ons-whatever you call them. Didn't notice until I got to school and had to walk the distance from my car to the building that it felt kinda weird down there...looked and saw that I had picked (in the dark in my messy closet) one of each! Felt weird all day, and was funny, I felt like I had to tell everyone I saw that I did it so they wouldn't think I did it on purpose!

Not that I can recall but I did wear a pair that was the perfect brown to go with my outfit recently that had a hole in the heel. All the other browns didn't look right. No one would know right? LOL I'm happy to report that I have replaced the holey sock.
