12 MORE DAYS....

Ok now begins my obsession once again for switchfoot love. I know I know I keep telling you guys how much this band has impacted my life. They just say all the things that swim around in my head in a lyrical genius kind of way. Much like U2, but when U2 was doing it I wasn't smart enough to realize what it was that they were saying back in the day, plus I'm not so sure back in the day I'm not so sure they really believed what they were singing....or they wouldn't have gotten all wierd in the early 90's. I'm just saying.....might I present to you some SWITCHFOOT LOVE

In other news. I earn a whole new respect for $$ this weekend. I helped with the Benefit Crop, and raised money for a very sick little boy. I don't know this family at all, just thought I'd use my skills to help some folks out. Raise money to show God's love in a practical way. I'll let you know the totals of what was raised when I know. And at church we excersized a little sacrificial giving for the Luke 4 Challenge. We'll both be sacraficing some time as well. But when you are involved in things God has made you passionate about it by no means feels like a sacrafice. So I've been bucking the system, and being a money hater cause the man don't let me have none. But thinking of money as a tool to advance God's Kingdom, well I've gained a new respect. That don't mean I still don't want stuff! I am human people!

You need to Come

Ok we have some spots left at the Benefit Crop. So get in your car right now, cause you ain't doing nothing but reading my blog so obviously you have time to spare . We have tons of stuff to raffle, auction and give away. It's well worth your $30, and it benefits a very sick little boy. So get you scrap crap together and head over to the church to get your scrap on. See you there!

Public Service Announcement....

This is not to scare anyone off. But because I know who I am, and I like to keep it real, theres a very good chance that I will be talking quite a lot about Nigeria, for the next several months, possibly years, you never know. Specifically Jos, Nigeria. Just keeping it real folks. I'm sorry what's that?.....oh you need a visual...? Ok...There ya go...theres Jos, in Nigeria, which is the country, located in the continent of Africa. Yes I know, I am also geographically challenged, and I too had to figure it all out as well. I got it now. Jos is like a state. So why you ask? Well I'll tell ya, because I have a heart for missions, and I love my church, and my church finally has a world missional purpose. God told me a few years ago, after taking a perspectives course, to "stay and pray", so here I am staying and praying. For Jos, Nigeria. I finally have a continent/Country/state to focus my prayers on. And it's a very cool thing. Do I think I'll always be "staying and praying"? The answer to that question is heck no, because I have a burning passionate desire to go and do when the time is right. Ok so what is it that we're praying for Jos, Nigeria for? I could write a whole bunch of stuff right here, but the Vineyard was kind enough to do that for me, so go there and see what it is I'm talking about. What are my prayer requests in general besides the top 3 listed on the link? Um how about more people for my team, which consists of....ME....my thoughts are since the message on sunday was about this project, people are generally scrambling to go and do, with the quickness, and they ain't ready for that yet. Honestly it would make good sense to cover the land in prayer before sending folks over there with a rig to drill some holes, otherwise they'll drill some wholes and get no water. So to cover the land in prayer we need more prayer warriors to do that job. Intercessors with a heart for world missions, which could generally be anyone but those who like to hear from God would be ideal. Other prayer request that I feel the need to put out there is some administrative help for Kande, this Nigeria project is about to blow up, and her team is already stretched to capacity, so praying for a smart, organized person to help a sister out. Which ain't me, so don't you people get any ideas, my plate is FULL! Plus I'm about as disorganized as they come, and I hate administration crap, of which I do it all day long and I don't like it when I'm doing it. Nuff said, God send someone her way.

Amazing Weekend....

This weekend kicked off me being busy for the next month straight. A whole lot of Good God stuff went on. The kind of God stuff that makes you feel good, and that you are heading in the right direction. Went to the Beth Moore simulcast.....ok baptists in general no offense make me uncomfortable, because they are in your face kind of people, as in yelling in your face kind of people. Beth I believe is a baptist. She is an in your face kind of person, but the difference is she backs it up with an incredible amount of biblical knowledge, you can't help but be intrigued....not to mention she has a huge heart. She has a huge following, but when she says she's been praying for you, I believe it. You can't fake that kind of genuineness. Her simulcast was based on her book Get out of that Pit. During the talk, my mind drifted to others I know who are in a pit and they know it, or some that tend to hang out in a pit and are in denial that they are there. I am not currently in a pit, but have been in the past. I tend to not hang out in the pit for very long, God seems to have always had me on a short leash. Pit or no pit......her talk was flippin amazing, reminding me of my purpose and that God has cool stuff in store for me without a doubt. Some of which I feel is going to happen in the very near future. I can't explain it, I just got that feeling.

The part of the Luke 4 challenge that resonates with me was spoke about in church today. I really felt God speaking to me during the message today, couldn't hear what he was saying, but there was something about the presence, that felt familiar and right. Water just seems like a simple thing for us. Yet in Nigeria, it's the very thing that causes the death and dying. We so take our water for granted. Even our bad tap water....won't kill us. So then going to the All team Nigeria meeting was super cool. Even though I was the only prayer person there....(which was slightly overwhelming)....It was amazingly cool to hear from all the different teams that will make drilling wells happen, so that Nigeria can have clean water. As they are talking about the different aspects of what needs to happen.....knowing all this info is for me to know how to pray....theres a little part of me that is screaming I WANT TO GO....get dirty and help dig a freakin well....to see the people we are doing this for to meet and greet the children and to see their faces as we share the love of Jesus in a practicle way. So maybe someday....God reminds me.....focus...stay and pray...someday you will Go and do....wish it was now...but it's not...Ok God I hear ya. So I mentioned todays message was good stuff....and Bono was mentioned....he keeps popping up in my life. They played an off the hook Bono interview clip at the end of the message. The whole thing is good but if you want to see just the Bono part which will say all that needs to be said....go here. Click on this weeks video and for the Bono part fast forward to 1:01.43.....seriously go do that, you won't be sorry....amazing stuff. According to Bono when asked what the best part of the Lords prayer to him is...he said...."...thy kingdom come, they will be done on earth as it is in heaven...." Our purpose as christians is to bring heaven to earth...I want to be a part of that.
"What can I give back to God for the blessings you poured out on me? I lift high the cup of salvation. It is a toast to our father. I'll follow through on the promise I made to you hear my heart." Psalms 116

Busy, Busy.....

Ok so on the days when I'm not actually that busy, I'm thinking about the busy that's going to happen. Which can become a bit overwhelming. So how about I just not talk about or think about being busy ok? Sounds good.
*operation hug update: Ok so a long while ago, just before or maybe it was after Christmas, I posted that I should be more of a hugger, not sure why, just felt led that I should be more open to the hugging possibility. I'd then give occasional hug updates ect. Truth is I've lost track, but if I had to guess I think I'm up to about 15 or so. Hooked up with some peeps I haven't seen since high school, and I'm sure I got a few there. But today....Julie planted one on me.....AT WORK, she should score extra points for that. People saw this go down, and I didn't pass out or anything.
Generally hugging doesn't go on in the workplace. I'm pretty thankful for that. I mean when we come in, in the morning you don't see folks going around hugging each other good morning...we see each other everyday theres generally no need for that. Can you imagine? I bet that goes on if you work at a church, considering that's where most of the unsolicited hugs happen from random nonfamilymember individuals. Hummmm...it'd be interesting to know if that happens. So church employees if you are reading this (Teresa) keep a log of how many hugs you recieve in a day, and report back. Also anyone else who works at a church....not just volunteer...but an actually employee.....like you get paid.....if you are reading this give us the 411 we need to know this!
Oh Julie hugged me cause I hooked her up with a sweet hot pink Starbucks Mug as a parting gift, she's freakin leaving me, and moving to the Cleveland area. I could say oh so much more here about the job I LOVE. But vow'd never to discuss my job here. Because that's how Dooce lost her job. So we'll not discuss any of that here on the blog. Remember people as far as your blog readers are concerned you LOVE your job.
**Ok apparently Layni, Cyndi and Shelley don't get how this tagging game is played. If you go to Melinda's blog you can see an example of what you do. You do just as I did, list 3 or 4 quirky things folks wouldn't know about you, on your blog for the world to see. Then you tag some folks who you now have blogs, or you can demand that your blog readers list their quirks in your comments section. Now that you know what to do.....CONSIDER YOURSELVES TAGGED!

Tagged.....

Dang it I've been tagged....which makes me feel loved, however I've wracked my brain all day to come up with 5 obscure things about me that no one knows. Um I've had a blog for 3 years now I am pretty sure the world knows all my secrets.

1. I secretly wish I still had my 1993 Ford Festiva.
2. I rarely go to bed before 1 am.
3. I like to feel the hem of my shirt. Usually a t-shirt, the softer the better. Therefor I almost
always have a t-shirt on, usually under something. If I notice someone I know has on an old
well loved t-shirt, I have an erge to feel their shirt. Depending on who they are I've been
known to do so. I call those kind of t-shirts feely shirts. (I think I've just revealed the most
quirky thing about me, I now have no secrets...LOL)
4. I was once chased by a whole herd of cattle (true story)
5. I will often sing the first verse of a song over and over for a few days straight....at home
outloud, and this drives my husband INSANE. Like this week it's the Lonely Goatheard.
The next few days it could be this.....which I found when I was linked from Stacie's blog to her friends blog....insane how these things happen. But Bono....oh Bono....I could....you and me....Good Lord People I am a married women....sickos, If I could just meet you....Mr. Bono....and converse, that'd be good.....DANG JUST HIS VOICE.....Ok this video is off the hook. I LOVE U2......

Oh yeah I am suppose to tag a few folks....those who need to desperately update their blogs....
How about.....Layni, Shelley, Cyndi, and Melinda....I think Stacie tagged everyone else I know with a blog. Except Theresa....whose link I only have at work, but she has one too....so now you've all been tagged! Get to work, it ain't easy!

ENOUGH!

Why do people insist on being obnoxious when I take photos? That's ok because then I will continue to embarrass them on my blog for all the world to see. Whatever, if it's not my brother it's my husband. This is how your children will remember you when you're gone. "Yeah theres dad flipping the bird again. Remember Mom she was all the time taking pictures and he'd always be flipping her the bird....yeah she'd get so mad!" Nice!

In other news: We went to the CAC last weekend. It was Fine Arts weekend. So Layni and I took the kids downtown. I love comtemporary art. The Unmuseum is so much fun. Always has fun interactive type art for the kids to touch and feel. Usually some kind of project they can do while they are their. Not to mention the building has some of the coolest archetecture. This Elephant was super cool. It was covered in altered drawers and rigged with sound so when you opened each drawer some sort of noise would happen. It was made for those who might be visually impaired....and everyone else to enjoy it was the coolest.

Happy Valentines Day Jackass....

Well talk about controversal! Ha! That's what I said to my husband of 15 years as he was going to bed. We like to keep real at the Sexton household. We are not big fans of Valentines day....Hallmarks made up holiday to make a buck or 2. They didn't make a single red cent off of me. Heck no. Last year yes, I purchased the childs valentines cards....as much as it hurt I did. The year before we made them as you see here on the right those are Valentine Cards 2005....gotta...love the notorious random fish stamp for Valentines day! This year I let the kid go buck wild with some rubber....(that's rubber stamps).....with a little help from me obviously, can't let him go too crazy, I am quite protective of the rubber. I even thought him how to properly clean a rubber stamp. Using the cleaner and the scrubby thing. It was a moment....and he loved it. So without further adu....

Here is this years valentines. I scanned some of the fronts and backs. Now when we did the tiny paper bag ones, witht he book marks, I did almost all the stamping, and he wrote all the names that was when he only had to do like 22, and that year I made a nice little paperbag book for his teacher to put her valentines in. Sorry to say not a whole lot of love for the teachers this year......dude we stamped 45 valentines......he has 2 class's 2 teachers, 2 teachers aids.....so we devoted all our time to making our valentines super fancy. He even did the names fancy. Complete with a small drawing for each kid. I asked him at first do you want me to do some of the names and he insisted he was going to do them all....Until he got through half of his first list....he had made me go away so he could concentrate, and he came into my scrap studio where I was doing laundry...(doesn't everyone do laundry in their scrap studio?) and said "Mommy I need a break my hand is getting all cramped from writing so many names fancy." So I said you want me do do the other list? He said yes, and I helped with the other list too, but he made me write fancy like him. And I had to draw pictures.....GOOD LORD! Yes we did use a Sock Monkey stamp with a stamp that says monkey love....when else would we use a stamp like that but for Valentines day?
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.....

The Original.....

Ah dag, no one's got any love for me since the day I discussed premarital sex. Isn't that just how the world works? Everyones got all kind of love for you till you go and talk about something controversal. I see how you guys are, fairweather friends......that's fine my husband still loves me.....and I made him wait! LOL.....problem is I keep making him wait....ha ha ha ha...sorry now I'll get no visits at all, and definately no comments!

Ok so you gotta love some youtube, you can find anything and everything on there. So because I CAN'T FREAKIN GET THE SONG OUT OF MY HEAD, and I'm driving my family crazy, heres the original. And I promised Perry we'd watch the movie tomorrow. Insane!

Get your Dance On!

We interrupt this blog for WIND IT UP! Now go Dance!

Luke 4 Challenge

So theres this little challenge going on at church. It got Perry to pour all his change he's been saving into a plastic container to donate in a few weeks to help raise ALOT of money. It's easy for Perry to decide what his part in it is, cause that's all the money he's aware that he has. So he just gives it away, not a big deal. What does it mean for Ron and I? We aren't sure yet. I'm sure in a few weeks we'll decide to increase our tithe, just seems like the logical thing to do. But who knows there might something even bigger that will happen? I just know that something stirs up inside me when I pray about it, or when Dave talks about it at church. When Dave had the revelation a few years ago, and he called the whole church to come and pray, I know I pictured in my head not just ministering to the poor like we've done for so many years, but being able to reach the hopeless that aren't necessarily financially poor. And that is exactly what we are doing now. Not to mention the new Student Ministry hook up, will be completed just in time for Perry to be a teenager.

So we'll see what God would have us to do, as part of the Luke 4 Challenge, oh and it's not small, not at all. It's huge....really really huge! The Vineyard never does anything small.

Snownapped

Well after losing 4 hours of my life on Tuesday driving home in "snow is falling from the sky" hell. Wednesday was a snowday, so I snownapped Maddie and Ashton and we went to the best hill in the land, and did a little extreme sledding. We got Perry to go down the ginormous hill one time but grabbing him and throwing him on the back of the sled with Ashton, and shoving them down the hill.....REALLY fast....he wasn't pleased...and he stomped up the hill with clenched fists.

Days like these are priceless. Maddie was so wore out from her extreme sporting. We had a blast. The snow can go away now. We got our fun out of it, and we're done with the cold now. I'd like to wear flip flops, I'm so over the snow!

Haphazard Grocery shopping....

I need a scheduled day that I actually go to the grocery. I used to I'd either go on Saturday afternoon, or Sunday after church. Well the past few weeks I've been going during the week...not to mention procrastinating the whole trip quite a bit. Last week it was on Tuesday, and this past week it was on Thursday. Regardless, Krogers knows when I am coming because that's when they proceed to call the scary people and tell them I'm going to be there and if they could please come and make my trip extra special. NICE!

Ok this one's for the lady who stole my parking spot last week that I was ever so patiently waiting for.

Hi yeah....see maybe you don't know the rules of the road, but when a person is sitting with their blinker on close to a parking spot someone is leaving, they've ALREADY FREAKIN CLAIMED IT. It's not ok for you to come around the corner and pull right in as if I'm not sitting there. I realize I'm quite a bit younger than you, but the thing is you are an abled bodied citizen just as I am and are able to walk in the cold just like me. I can't help it you wore you black loafers with nylons, and it's 10 below zero. That's NOT MY FAULT, at your age you should no how to dress in the cold weather. And thank you for following me while I was in the store so I could pass you the whole time and give you dirty looks while you talked to yourself. I know I am a christian women, but I was following the rules, and it was damn cold outside!

And this one is for the young women with 3 kids, one of which was walking in the isles with his pants down, with his wiener out for all the world to see.

Ok I realize having 3 children is a tough job....but the fact is you had a friend with you to help you. Besides what are you teaching you child that he thinks it's perfectly ok to expose himself in the middle of the grocery store. Ok truth is it was kind of cute because he was like 2. Maybe you could have pulled his pants up before walking him through the grocery store to the bathroom. Just an idea....I'm just saying.

I do believe these are the same people who always show up when I go to the DMV!

Sorry Justin....

Something I was reminded I do not want to be "brought back." That would be Sexy....I've seen enough sexy in my life to last me a lifetime. I don't even seek out Sexy. Unless you live in a cave most people are bombarded with Sexy on a daily basis. Think about it. You can't watch your favorite show without being bombarded with Sexy while viewing the show or in the commercials that come on during the show. You can't go to the grocery store without seeing sexy....it's everywhere. I doubt my grandma had to worry about sexy being brought back while she shopped at the grocery store. Not only that, but I didn't know what Sexy was until I was 16 or so, heck nowadays, girls are worried about being sexy by age 10......UGH....I was still playing with Barbies at age 10, and didn't even notice that Barbie herself was sexy! Being sexy should be reserved for a husband and wife, end of story. We shouldn't have to worry about if our kids are having sex, because THEY ARE KIDS and should not be. We should do everything in our power short of locking them in a closet until they are 20 to allow them to make the right decisions....such as waiting until they are married as it is intended to be. This is how God intended it to be, you can interrpret the scripture however you want to, to make it fit your life...but if you think it says anything other than WAIT.....then you are missing the point. Completely! I pray daily that I am putting the right stuff in my kids head for him to make the right decisions in life. That I am protecting him from things of this world, that cause us to believe things about ourselves that just aren't true. Ok 6 weeks of Beth Moore was enough for me to get up on my soapbox and get LOUD....apparently. Living in a modern day Babylon is hard work, but I'm up for it, bring it on cause I am prayed up and ready! Oh and Justin....sexy didn't need to be brought back, it never left you idiot! (that don't mean the song doesn't have a good beat you can dance to....thanks for that!)

WHITE DEATH INDEED.....

I lost 4 hours of my life today. Sitting in my damn car , not moving with many other unfortunate souls who were also trapped in their cars while the White Death fell around us. Why can't we be like the folks in MN or other states where snow is a fact of life and they know how to get it off the road so you can freakin drive. I'm not leaving my home until the roads are clear....this is a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!

Wrong...

Who said I knew anything about Football anyways? Cause I don't. What I do know about is my new all time favorite show....HEROES....Holy crap that show is damn good. I so did not want Nathan to be Claires dad, but he is and I have no control over that. Dang if Mrs. Bennets not going to get some sort of brain rot for all the memory erasing she's been getting. Poor women it's no wonder she has so much love for Mr. Muggles, his brain is the same size as hers at this point. Mr. Muggles is a dog for those of you who don't know what the heck I am speaking of. Yes I've reached a whole new level of nerd class. Somewhat like some sort of sci-fi geek, but I wouldn't go that far. I've read the graphic novels on the website, read the message board, been to the interactive secret website disguised as Primatech Paper, where you can see secret stuff with the right passwords you find on the 9th Wonder message board. It's seriously out of hand. I am hoping my special super heroe powers will be revealed to me in my dreams....soon....very soon, I'll let you know what they are. I just hope they are special enough I won't have to work anymore. LOL!

Seems that March is National do a whole lot of scrapping month. I got some sort of scrappin to-do every single weekend in March and the weekend I don't I'm going to see Switchfoot.....Oh yes it is my birthday month, so I am celebrating right, doing my favorite things every weekend. Feel free to join me on the 3rd at the benefit crop....see banner above.

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY....

Holy crap it just dawn on me it would be a very good idea to go grocery shopping right now! The game starts either now or in 15 minutes. So all of America will not be a the grocery store. I'll catch the comercials on You Tube! Which basically means I don't give a crap about Football!
*Edited to Add: Ok so Stacie posted her pick for the Dorito's superbowl Commercial contest...which I love her pick, but this one made me fall out of my chair with laughter....love the music and I love a good old fashion ass whooping!

Um.....I think the Bears are going to win....just a hunch.
Now go watch some Football!

First a Funny and then Getting Deep!

I was talking to some folks at church tonight about this skit, from Exit 57. It's very tongue and cheek, and has no spiritual value what so ever, but it's dang funny, in a White Trash kind of way.

Never did talk about how deeply effected I was by Session 4 of Beth Moores study on Daniel. And then it was backed up by sundays message at church. Seems I put a lot of value in what people think about me. I know my true value comes from God and I am a child of God...but HELLO I am a part of this world as well, and it's so difficult not to care about others approval and what other people think about me. Whether what they think about me is true or false, I often take great value in it. She also go quite personal with me, it was as though she was speaking right to me, as though she was in my head. Gave me a lot to think about, and pray about. Not sure what it all means, but she is digging deep....it can be painful at times....but I know it's for a purpose. God knows why, and he'll reveal the purpose in his time.

Aaaaand we're back!

Thanks Stacie....it was a whole "While you were out" sort of thing. Imagine the panic when I thought I had jacked the whole thing up. Not sure if I like the pink on the sides.....anyone have a comment? Too much pink?

Ok theres some updates to the benefit crop. As in a more recent diagnoses. I'll update the original post. Regardless of the diagnoses, the child is very very sick, and the goal is to raise money for a family who is unable to afford the mounting medical debt, that will continue to mount as he's treated. Thanks to those who have responded and we will plug you in to help where needed as we continue to organize. The response has been awesome.
***WARNING WEATHER TALK BEGINS NOW: Ok it's never ok to speak of the weather in your blog unless there are extremes involved. Lets face it people if the weather is all you have to talk about well then you should not have a blog nuff said. But if you are expreriencing extremes like lots of snow, or really hot weather, or tons of rain, well then that's ok. Or say for instance.......GOOD GOD PEOPLE IT'S FLIPPIN' COLD OUTSIDE.

I had to go to Walmart for a new gate and picked up a few food items while there....along with a quest for replacement Gumy Phones....I know it sounds like some sort of candy, oh but it's not. They are the best (in my opinion) ear buds ever, ecspecially if you have small ears...(me)...as in tiny, it's no wonder I can hear a thing....they are so small. But I hear well...very well, almost as good as I can smell. Anywho....man I can ramble......I went specifically to Walmart to get new buds, and they didn't have them. I refuse to buy any other buds because I've experienced much bud unhappiness in my day, so it makes good sense to go with what I know will make me happy. The green ones lasted me about 8 months....this is a good thing considering I use them every single day. So left Walmart, with plans to finish my grocery shopping at Kroger (because that is the only place we can purchase our latest beverages of choice at a reasonable price, vitamin water and Big K diet Dew Drop). Upon leave walmart with no new buds I remembered...Best Buy sells Gumy Phones...so suddenly I was headed to Best Buy. Seriously live in my head for one day, you too will be exhausted. Found new bud happiness...and got 2 packs so I don't have to run all over the city again ever. The orange is a new color, had only planned on getting the pink...but ORANGE...what's not to love about orange? And no I didn't make it to Krogers, and yes Ron is out of Diet Dew Drop, so he's resorting to Kool-aid for a day....seriously people it's too damn cold out there to be running to Krogers.
***This was not a Vera Bradley commercial...although the Medallion print is quite nice. Trust me that women needs no help making money. Gumy Phones however will make you happy.

CRAP....

Ok calm down people it'll be back I promise. Please Stacie don't kill me. I know you got it in you bucket somewhere. Stupid blogger bastards made it sound so easy....talkin about we got your old template saved and you can just get the codes from there really....WELL WHERE THE HELL IS IT? Care to make that easy? Ok in other news. The mighty P-man placed 3rd in the ever so chaotic Pinewood Derby. Third for his Den, which is good news. My car won it's first race but was soon eliminated it second race. Rats! Perry also got his final reward for the drawing contest at his Daddy's work. He didn't win a spot in the calender but he did place for the local contest. Truth is his picture was better than any of pictures in the Calender. We survived our rather busy day. Glad we don't have to do it again till next year.

Relax....

*Edited to add...I started this entry this morning and as I started to describe all I had to do today I began to get overwhelmed and stopped and now that all the activities are over I can relax and finish my entry.

Ok how about a little good news. After weeks upon weeks of getting "F's" on his spelling tests the P-man, got an 80%.....woohooo.....A pizza celebration dinner was in order. Once we got our pizza the family had a somewhat disconnected friday evening. Perry enjoyed his pizza in the living room, while watching a new episode of "My Gym Partners a Monkey", I'm sure he gained important wisdom! I started watching the 1st season of Heroes on this amazing discovery my brother told me about. It's this place far better than You Tube....since it has MOVIES, and TV shows....full episodes. Sounds slightly illegal, but nothing blew up, and no virus was transmitted. The fact you don't need the WWW for the web address might mean it ain't on the up and up...?? Anyways heres the website. Anyways I got through the first 2 episodes and WOW....I'm hooked. I'm not usually a Sci-Fi fan of anything, but this I could get into. Ron was catching up on 24 that he decided he should watch. I got season 1 from the library because I hate to not be part of some hype....I want to know....so he fell victim to the hype. Lost I can do without. So now after he's done with Season 1 he'll wait for the rest of the seasons from the library and by the end of season 7 he'll be caught up and ready to watch season 8....LOL.....Thank goodness I was only one season behind with Heroes, I can make that happen in a few days. Ok busy day today and here I am blogging go figure. Camera...camera....camera...Good God women do not forget your Camera! Ok that was a note to self.
Tyler Fisher is a beautiful little 18 mo. old boy who has been at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati since November of ‘06 & currently remains undiagnosed. He’s already endured a liver transplant & was recently diagnosed with SCID's (they’ve discovered suspicious masses around his heart) .

I'm helping plan a Benefit Crop.....haven't done one of those in 6 years or so. We've been successful in the past so this time should be no different. If you'd like to donate stuff to be raffled at the benefit by all means send me a shout. If you'd like to come and need details I got the 411. If you'd like to donate time, money, food, how about you just check out the link and it'll give you all the info you need. The more stuff we got to raffle, the more money we can make!

Socks....

Thing is, I like strippedy socks. I don't know that, strippedy is a word, but I use it and I like it...so in my world it's a word. Problem is with strippedy stocks if you can't find it's mate you can't mate it with another.....OR CAN YOU? I am loving that there is a place in this world called Mismatch. I like the concept. It speaks to me. I have a tendency to be somewhat like Punky Brewster....or Cyndi Lauper in the 80's....it's who I am and I'm ok with it. My own style of sorts. I read in last years Scrapbooking Hall of fame one of the winners listed her quirk as she sometime wears mismatch socks.....She was a CK Hall of Famer......which good or bad I have the utmost respect for, that is a tough contest. So a respectable scrapbooker, out there in the world....wears mismatched socks, suddenly that makes it ok....with me anyways. I haven't done it yet...but when I do I will be sure to report if I was laughed out of my workplace. Come on confess do you ever wear mismatched socks? No one really reads this, no one will ever know.

Life never Changes

Ok so that getting up early nonsense happened all of 2 days. Yeah the geek husband SAYS he's been telling me to do that for years. Whatever the man can't change who I am...trust me he's tried for for 15 years now...and maybe even a little before that and the dumb ass married me anyways. So why change now? I will continue to set the alarm for 7:15ish....and get up at 7:45ish....ok 8!
Oh and the whole internet fast....yeah failed at that miserably too. I mean I've still been able to limit it, so I'm on less than I was before the fast but I'm still on more than I should be. Like for instance tonight I literally had 4 IM's going at once....for about 20 minutes it was a mad house, my screen was going crazy. That hasn't happened in years. Back in the day I'd do it all the time, but then we all got responsible and were online less....so IM doesn't happen as often, but tonight holy crap! I was able to hold my own and keep up with everyone so I still got it in me. Ok this is for my friend Dave.....who likes to stump me via e-mail with song lyrics.....this song has very distict lyrics and I was so pissed today cause I didn't get this one right away.

He found it to be quite amusing that he stumped me....whatever....I'll never forget it now!

Ok the next few photo's were going to be held off till Saturday...but tomorrow is practice, so why not show them off now. I present to you Pinewood '07......
Ok the Pink car is not Perry's....geez....his is the super cool Lightning McQueen one he and daddy built. Daddy was kind enough to cut and sand mine, then I pimped it out.

There you have it Pimped out Pinewood. I'll let you know how she runs...usually the pretty ones aren't too fast...but I requested that she be aerodynamic, so she can be pretty and fast....Perry's is just dang smooth.....they outdid themselves. With Cars being the newest craze, I'd be shocked if there wasn't at least one more Lightning. Ron has already informed me that he will not weigh in my pink car at practice or the day of the race. Apparently a pink car can burn a manly mans hands.....I just might be appalling with my pink car to the serious Pinewood racers.....Can't wait!

Food Loving Weekend

I forced the man to take me out to dinner on Friday. I try this every friday and it's usually met with a whole lot of whining. Dude works real hard and wants to do nothing on Friday but sit his booty on the couch and watch all his wonderful show's on Sci-fi network. I however spend the whole week fixing dinner every night (almost) and do not wish to cook on Friday nuff said. So he took me to Applebees....the new one near our house. Which means the wait was LONG, which is fine cause I am a patient person. But apparently the new Applebees is half the size of a normal Applebees and folks were packed in like sardines. I had seen Tyler Florences comercials on TV....and thought wow those look real yummy but can some schmuck cook at Applebees recreate it. (sorry if you are a cook at Applebees, but you don't get paid enough....I'm just saying.) So rather than ordering something I've had a million and one times, I decided to take a risk. The last time I did this I took a risk on some lame Weight Watchers menu item, and was very disappointed in my dried up piece of chicken breast on some fiber infused bun. So I decided to take a risk on one of Tylers dishes.....and HOLY CRAP....no schmuck cook at this Applebees....I think Tyler was back there doing a Food 911.....it was off the hook yummy. I had the brick chicken that came with the Spinach stuff that was amazing....it just wilted with carmelized onions, some sort of shaved cheese, hard boiled eggs, and a warm vinegar type dressing....oh and bacon....everything tastes amazing when you add bacon. The chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly, but the spinach stuff....man oh man I can't stop thinking about it, I'm searching the internet for the recipe, because I wanna make that yummyness happen in my own home.

Green....

So I am choosing GREEN for my color of happiness. Happiness which just so happens to be a spelling word this week. Actually it's Unhappiness....I know this because I had to get creative with studying spelling. So any word more than 3 letters long, became a song, with beats. Just like the girl in Akeela and the Bee....if you haven't seen it you must!

Ok so why Green. Heres the explaination. I totally thought Yellow, but kept being pulled back to green. Green being my favorite color since I was a child. And it dawned on me why Green is the right choice. Are you ready for some extreme corniness (is that a word by the way?) Ok here goes, you take the blues and you sprinkle them with yellow sunshine what do you get.....GREEN! Which makes me want to sing Willy Wonka...."Springtime the only pretty thing time, bird say a ding, a ding ding sweet lovers love..." Only a true Willy Wonka fan could appreciate that. So than to celebrate my new found happiness....not to be confused with UN...HAPP....INESS....I present to you my new favorite song, and my new possibly full album purchase from itunes.

Dude is HOT....in a mysterious black eyeliner kind of way don't ya think? I love him.....Love my husband more, but love him in a Rockstar kind of love kind of thing, cause he sings well.

A Better Place

God must have heard my screams, since each day seems to be getting better and I'm coming out of my funk. Not to mention I prayed that I'd get my butt out of bed earlier so I'm not so rushed in the morning. And it's happened the past 2 morning and it's so nice not to be rushed. Each morning I've been taking a few minute to thank God for making me get out of bed. Perry's probably thanking God to so I'm not rushing him around like a nut.

Perry was so pleasant this evening too. He took some afternoon meds which was a great help, we argued less, and he focused more. He started his God and Me study at church tonight, I think this will be so good for him to have a mentor who will share God with him one on one. One thing about being so busy 5 days out of he week, the week goes by so fast. Not that I desire to speed up time, or my life but getting through the week to Friday is a good thing, so the mean purples are gone (thank God) they faded into the mean reds, and I think those are now "somewhat irritated pinks". Now I need a color for not stressed and happy.....hummm...what color? I'll let you pick....

Happy Thoughts...

I'm trying desperately to come up with some...gimme a sec....Oh...
We have a grown up refridgerator, thanks to my brother. He splurged for a brand new one, and we got his old one which to us is a grown up fridge cause it has ice and water in the door. Amazing work of art this thing. Now if I could just get my hands on a coke and put it over some refridgerator ice cubes going to the Mugrages will never be the same. I've been going to the Mugrages for over 20 years now, back in the day before kids and before husbands I'd be there more often than now, and a coke with refridgerator ice cubes at their house always tasted the best. So the true test will be is it just the cubes or is it the cubes from their fridge?

Oh it's my husbands birthday, we are now the same age for the next 2 months. I made him a Oreo pie, and got him Star Wars Lego I....don't ask me why? I knew it'd make him happy but consume him for a while. As a matter of fact the moment he opened it, it wasn't but 10 minutes and he disappeared leaving me with a SUPER HYPER child, whose meds were no longer working, heck they don't work that great when they do work....and he hadn't done his homework, and he got bad grades on both his tests last week. Patience, patience, patience....his appointment is next week. I can make it one more week without hurting anyone. Now to try and convince the idiot husband to only play the stupid game when the child is not awake....it's almost like I have 2 kids. They both find great delight in the game, but no one understands the word MODERATION, and physical activity.....now it's cold.....

Winter has finally arrived, I just hope it doesn't stay around long I was getting used to it being warm when it's suppose to be cold. Ok sorry for the rambling.....Um the name of the blog incase no one notices is Nonsensical Ravings....that I have accomplished on more than one occasion.

Super Sniffer....

It's a gift really. I have one heck of a smeller. I can smell things from a distance. For instance, my husband has been stashing a Mike's Berry malt beverage since christmas, but I had one at a friends house and didn't like it, so I gave him permission to drink mine. So he was in the same room as me about 20 minutes after he drank it. And I was sniffin....and said did you drink that Mikes Hard Berry? Few hours later....walked through the room....sniffing....."honey did you eat the rest of the M&M's?" I love to smell things...unless they are stinky. I like to smell the ink of a new magazine. Each magazine seems to have it's own distinct oder. Like a Real Simple magazine doesn't smell like a Creating Keepsake, one isn't better than another, just different. I like to smell the plastic of a new DVD case. Bet you didn't know it had an oder....it does! I like to smell new scrapbook patterned paper. Again different brands have different smells. My dad and my brother have a distict smell that sinks into their t-shirts. It's not a stinky smell it's just their own oder. Their pillows smell like that too. Wierd how I remember that. A honeydew candle reminds me of my dad's t-shirt smell. I love the smell of downey on my clothing and other peoples clothing. I can remember my best friends mom's towels had a slight mildewy smell to them....it wasn't bad, it was just there, we couldn't ever figure out why her towels always smelled like that they just did. They were clean they just didn't smell like downey. I like the smokey smell on my clothes and everything I own after a weekend of camping. Who can resist the smell of coffee in the morning.....MMMMMM.....Thank you God for a super sniffer, it gets me through the day and makes me happy!

Blame...

The message a church this morning was on blame. Hummm...feel like it's suppose to mean something. There was a whole bunch of stuff rolling around in my head, but not sure what it all means. The survey given in church, was an eye opener for me. Seems I'm pretty hard on myself, and others. Can't change or fix any of that, but I can certainly try from this day on to not be like that. Seems Dave said that's not all that easy to do. I suppose if God wants a change in me he'll make it happen. Warren Barfield sang this morning. Not sure if that's why the entire city was at my church today, or what. But that place was off the hook. I mean granted when you attend a church where the potential turn out can be 6000 or so, it's going to be rather crowded, but this morning, was insane. Traffic to get in, traffic to leave, people traffic in the place, no where to sit....guess that's a good thing at church huh?

I scrapped yesterday. Did 4 pages. It felt good to be creative, I can't say I was the best company with the mean purples and all, but it helped me come out of it a bit. I am starting to feel better. Mean Purples.....I kind of like that....it's a combination of the mean reds and the blues. Hummm....interesting concept don't ya think?

Friday, January 12, 2007

Purple....

I think my "mean reds" have turned into "mean purples". I think I just made up mean purples, but it seems fitting. Since Mean Reds are, when you are sad and you don't know what you are sad about....from Breakfast at Tiffany's. I sort of know what I'm sad about, but no one would really care. And theres no way to fix it. So it's developed now into mean purples and I just want to tell everyone to kiss my ass....nice I know....but that's how it is. Life is so F'ing complicated sometimes. So tomorrow I'll scrap, maybe get a new pair of shoes, listen to some Limp Bizkit, and I'll be better by Sunday.....please for Godsake no one send in the hug patrol!

Integrity depends on Consistency

HOLY COW....are you kidding me? I mean this is so good I am going to have to quote it directly from Beth's study guide. We are so living this, right now! Me and so many people I know. It's all about consistency!

"The lifeblood of integrity is becoming the same person no matter where we are, no matter who's around. When we become the people of integrity, everything we are on the inside is obvious from the outside. The Latin word for "integrity" literally means "entire." The essence of the term is wholeness and completeness. Integrity is "the quality or state of being complete or undivided." You can see therefor, how much integrity depends on consistency. Integrity not only calls us to live inside-out, it keeps the outside from coming in. Consistency in our walk and in our talk becomes a transportable cloak of protection around us, going anywhere we go. Life becomes so much simpler when there aren't so many costume changes."

Could those words not be more amazing? Could they not speak volumes. I think it's important to be culturally relevant, so the world doesn't pass you by, or to be aware what are kids are being bombarded with. However it's a constant balance to be culturally relevant and consumed by the culture we live in. But back to the whole integrity thing. I have been one to live with integrity my whole life. That doesn't mean I did not and have not fallen from grace a time or twenty. It seems though God has called me to a higher purpose, and when I feel the need to "keep up with the Jone's", or do what is blatantly not part of Gods plans, something generally goes terribly wrong. So apparently God knows what he is doing. That quote I need to plaster everywhere to remind me what God has called me to be....and to be consistent....
Ok so this weeks study, just about made my brain blow out my ears. Anytime I study anything that directly connects to the endtimes, I'm slightly creeped out, yet intrigued all at the same time, and I want to know more. God puts me in those kind of situations time and time again. Good stuff....

Oh at first I thought Beth Moore calling me "beloved" would creep me out almost like getting a hug, well I'm getting used to it, and I am getting used to hugs.....shhh....that doesn't not give you permission to be hugging all up on me, so back off whoever you are....crazy hugging fools!

I know!

I am aware of what time it is. Don't remind me. I'll be worthless and grumpy tomorrow. Me thinks Perry has grown or gained weight, and me thinks the meds are not as effective as they once were, or they are wearing off sooner and since I get home later, I get him non-medicated. And the seemingly handsome, however sometimes not so helpful husband sat upon the couch while I fought over homework. When he could have had it done or almost done before I got home, which would have been good cause he would have been MEDICATED. So I was tapped this evening after more than an hour of homework battles. He doesn't mind doing it it's just he has the attention span of a nat after 8pm. So he'll write a letter then pick the eraser off his pencil or humm the star wars tune they play in the Bar area, or the Darth Vader march song. Yes there seems to be somewhat of a healthy addiction to Star Wars going on these days. God give me patience as we head into the do too much trilogy of days for the next 2 months. That actually means I have stuff going on everynight but Monday and Friday for the next 2 months. Keeps me off the streets.

Baby Rocker?

I'm really not sure how these things happen they just do. I am the original headbanger.....DON'T YOU FORGET IT LITTLE BROTHER....!!!

God Knows me!

So I had big plans to talk about being a lemming and Vera Bradley and all thing senseless an meaningless. But thought I'd take a more meaningful route. So the P-man is playing Upwards Basketball again this year. I am faced again with the question is this the right decision? He is still COMPLETELY clueless that there is a ball in play and that there is even a game going on. He's afraid of the ball, during a game he won't even touch it. Which honestly is for the best cause if he got it he probably wouldn't know what to do with it. It's very likely he'd grab it then sit it on the floor and watch it spin.....I'm serious.....There are a few brief moments during the game when he'll realize oh, I'm suppose to be guarding #25 or whatever number, then he'll jump in front of that person and shuffle back and forth and wave his hands wildly. Then his mind takes over and he's back in Perry land. The good thing is this year he for the most part is on the right side of the court more often than last year. And he moves with the pack of players so it appears he is aware of what is going on. It would be so much easier to not have him play basketball. Less embarrassing as I know the other parents are like why is this kid playing? It would be so much easier to avoid those many experiences that make me uncomfortable. If I did that, how many experiences would Perry miss? How many experiences would the people around him miss? How would his coach ever get to interact with someone like Perry? His coach from last year saw him at practice, and said..."it's so nice to see his smiling face again..." Athletics wise Perry offered nothing to the team if anything he gave many baskets away. Yet he offered a lot to his coach, it gives them the oppurtunity to not just work on plays but to work one on one with Perry to give him what he needed to feel a part of a team. It gives the boys the oppurtunity to know someone like Perry, and for them to teach what they know and what comes natural to them...and to reach out to someone who is a little different. And they do....those are the moments I am glad I don't avoid and I push myself to EXPERIENCE. Rick and Dick Hoyt are the hugest examples of Experience...

Miss me?

Ok since I'm pretty good at blogging everyday, I guess I wasn't missed. But internet surfing I do, quite a bit of, and as you can see by my post from yesterday I was giving something up. I have limited myself to 2 hours per day to be done in the evening.......HOLY CRAP IS THAT HARD. For some it would not be hard, but that break at work at lunch time when I catch up with my cyberspace peeps, and then the oodles of time I spend blog reading, message board reading, e-mailing....who knew I was an addict? Then what happens is you get on someones blog and you start reading comments, and then you click on the name of the commenter and low and behold looky there they got a blog, so then you read theirs...and the cycle becomes endless. Or they got cool links on their blogs pretty soon you were reading Stacy's blog, and now you are trapped in the land of Steve don't Eat it....how does that happen? It's not that the stuff I am reading makes me more dumb...or is it dumber...or am I dumb cause I don't know from reading blogs? Anyways lets go with dumber, because I'm not, for the most part the blogs I encounter, folks are fairly profound and have something genuinely useful to add to my life and wealth of information. However....they do consume quite a bit of my freetime...thus the reason it's something significant I can limit for 6 weeks. Notice I am "limiting" and not "eliminating".....crap...that would just be nonsense...cyberspace would miss me.
So how did all this happen. Well Beth Moore mentioned fasting from something during the first half of the study. Encouraged but it wasn't necessary. I knew for me, for it to make an impact I'd have to do something tangeable and take her up on her encouragement. Instantly I thought internet...then said naw that isn't an issue. Then it show'd up again in my head in the shower this morning...and then in the car....whatever, those are the only two places I can escape Perry's never ending noise making and my mind is free to hear what the heck God's saying. So then...listening to Erwin today, and he said "it's one thing to listen to what God is saying, it's a whole other thing to actually DO what God saying...." SNAP......dude I get it....God I hear ya, guess you weren't kidding. I don't want to end up like those poor schmucks at the tower of Babble....and start speaking another language even I don't understand....it's been done, so I'm gonna be a doer and not just a listener....nuff said....

So if you are looking for me during the day in Cyberspace I won't be around till evening for the next 6 weeks, do not panic!

Daniel

How more timely could a study on Daniel be than right about now when I am in budgeting hell, and forced to give up spending money as I know it. It's not just any study on Daniel but a Beth Moore study on Daniel, which I've been told are awesome and entense all at the same time. I can't begin to tell you how amazing and dynamic she is, if I could just get my hands on the book I need I could get this life transforming thing rolling here.

Anyways I'm considering giving up something to go along with this 6 week study, not sure what yet any suggestions? How about staying up late? Food? That's way too predictable...I need something that'll make me sweat, and feel God's work in my life.....internet??? Oh boy...I'm gonna have to go pray.

I ain't Cheap!

But my groceries were. Ok so I did something I thought I wouldn't ever do again, and I'm not sure it was worth it. I went to Aldi's, I haven't shopped at Aldi's in 6 years or so, only because I've not really had to, until my inability to stretch the $80 a week grocery budget. I'm just not able to make it work at Krogers. So I headed to Aldi's to see what I could do. Granted I got quite a bit for super cheap, but I don't think it was worth it. 49 cent bread, and it's not bad, not quite as fiber filled as Sara Lee, but it tastes like bread. 52 fish sticks for $1.50, that Perry doesn't seem to mind eating, but I don't think he's met a fish stick he didn't like. A bag of frozen french fries for like 1.00, seemed to be eatable by the P man, eggs for 50 cents, snacks, like blue tortilla chips, fritos, BBQ chips, pringles, all for under $1. So we'll see this was a wierd week, not typical as I had to purchase party food for our New Years Eve Party, we have horsdorves for dinner so that's not typical food I normally buy. Oh and I got like 6 good looking porkchops for $4...that's 2 meals at our house. Dang I hate groceries on a budget...any tips. Oh and I'm not consistant on the coupon clipping so don't even suggest it.

Life has Come to This?

Ok so I thought I'd start the new year off, scrapping and posting highly intelligent thought provoking blog entries. You've been warned this video could seriously change your life!

Year in Review

So I was looking over last years blog posts. And I'd say the most significant things that happened in the past year was Perrys diagnoses, and him not getting into Springer. So good to have that to look back on and see God moving through it all. So cool. I said in one post that if Perry didn't get into Springer that I'd not only be disappointed but I'd be devastated. Seems that God protected me from devastation. Seems with him not getting into Springer, it gave me the oppurtunity to put some trust into the public school system and let them see what they could do for him, and I am more than pleased with the results. Seems God put all the right people in place, and it worked out better.
This verse was fairly significant.....
1 Samuel 14:7 "Do all that you have in mind....go ahead, I am with you heart and soul."
So significant I put it at the top of my Christmas letter. I think I'll keep it in mind for the beginning of the new year. Perry has seemed to have matured this year as well, doesn't stress me out quite as much and seems to have learned to respond to me more often than never. So heres to a great stressfree new year......see ya 2006..........HELLO 2007!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

SWITCHFOOT

I think it's been maybe a months since I've mentioned their name so here ya go. The mans budget is keeping me from getting this new album. I couldn't even get it at Target with my gift card cause they didn't have it dang it...so then there this.

Forgot to mention OPERATION HUG THERAPY UPDATE: I'm up to at least 15 hugs now, folks you haven't seen in 10-15 years love to hug. Some more than once. Plus I don't think they know my issues with hugs.

Getting Old

Ok so hooked up with some High School peeps last night for dinner. We spent some time checking out photo's from the Class of 86's reunion, and protested that there is no way we are that old. There is no way that we even look that old. I am at least 100+ pounds heavier than I was in High School. Not a pretty sight! So my 20 year reunion is in 10 months. I could lose some serious weightage in that amount of time, and I could look stunning right? Man weightloss is so hard, and I'm so not motivated. All the girls at dinner last night were um skinny....dang I hate them! I certainly don't want to be the fat girl at the reunion.

Have to say though it was so much fun hooking up with folks from High School. Many of them I did not hang with in High School, so we were all from different social groups, it was very interesting. How we each have led different lives, yet had one common bond we went to the same school. For some reason that made us seem comfortable around each other. It was funny as we shared photos, I'm thinking, how funny I have those same pictures taken from a different perspective. Or we'd talk about our extended family and we'd be saying the same kind of thing, like our parents are crazy or getting old, or we don't speak to that person for whatever reason. We all go through the same things, no matter what social group we were in, in High School. I think this reunions going to be so much fun, in the mean time we make new friends, and find old ones.

Christmas Round 3 of 3

The third and final round of Christmas brought lots of fun gifts. I knew about all my gifts from the folks. Hate not being surprised, but I guess it beats the alternative of running all over town returning ugly clothing. Ron got me 2 DVD's, 3 pairs of socks, a T-shirt, a hat. All of which were a surprise. I got Little Miss Sunshine....now one of my favorite movies! And Christmas brought the completion of our first 3 ugly dolls. Perry designes them by making a drawing. I turn the drawing into a pattern, and cut out all the pieces. Then Geegaw sews them.

This one is Maddies. Our first drawing adapted into a pattern. Her name is Flo, and she enjoys picking flowers.

This one is Perry's. His name is Snarf, he enjoyes eating french fries, watching movies, and eating the tires off of Matchbox Cars.

This one was made for Zack. His name is Reese, and his favorite passtime is warming peoples hands. Keep your eyes peeled for more ugly dolls....to be created as the artist, gets a spark of genius. This idea was adapted from the orignial uglydolls. www.uglydolls.com, then also from Kelli Crowe, we thought it was such a great idea as we were fans of the originals to begin with. We couldn't wait to make our own.

Beautiful

Ok because I'm so exhausted I've lost the ability to think, I'm just going to post video's from now till christmas. Um...am I coming in clearly? Is this thing on?

Operation hug update: 9 hugs total. I initiated a hug to a fellow non-hugger Jen, before we wrapped gifts at the mall. She totally had the very familiar "don't hug me look", but I did it anyways....ha ha.....I'm still not a hugger.....I'm trying...but it's still flippin wierd. Dang hugging wierdo's.

AND THE WINNER IS....

Perry won 3rd place overall in a drawing contest at Ron's work. They had to submit drawings depicting each of the companies core values. Perry chose respect. He drew a picture of his Daddy in his work uniform, and simply said on his picture "I respect my Daddy." cute! So Ron didn't even know we entered. These are for a calender so they chose 12 pictures from the entries to represent each month, and then chose the 3 winners from those. Perry got a month, but we aren't sure which month. But his big winnings was $100 gift card to Toys R Us.....how cool is that. When he was first told I don't think he was able to fathom the amount of money he won and all that he could get with that. So we went to Toys R Us today so he could spend his gift card. First of all who knew it would be a madhouse this time of year, something about Christmas or something. Well it was like he was on a shopping spree....as he could pretty much buy whatever he wanted and was able to purchase lots of things, as his interests are not expensive. Legos, Transformers, Bionicles, Cars, and dragons, he got it all. One of the things he's wanted for a while is an I-Fish....it's a interactive fish that responds to your voice and petting. Plus you can plug an I-Pod into it and it'll dance. Not to mention it seems to enjoy my singing too. Very fun. So it appears aliens have taken over my home.

Progress is being made on my holiday to-do's. I've got my Christmas cards halfway completed. I just finished my labels, I just have to print them. Copy my letter and give them a stamp and off they'll go. Ron assures me the budget will allow for me to finish my christmas shopping next week.....Lord I hope so, otherwise folks will be getting a big fat nothing, and nobody will like me. I think he will allow me to make puppy chow (powdered sugar, chocolate, peanut butter on some cereal, yummy goodness), so how ghetto would it be for every one to get a ziplock (generic) of Puppy Chow? Ha! Goodness I hope I don't have to stoop that low.
Send up some words for my SIL's mom she's in the hospital not doing so well last I heard. I'm sure some prayers from many strangers would be most appreciated.

Hug Update: 8 Total hugs recieved since Operation Hug began. Sneak Attack Hug from Connie last night upon leaving Stacie's house at 2:30 am.....we are scrappin maniacs.

COLD!

Ok so we went from the 60's to FREAKIN FREEZING in like 2 days. And this morning being stuck in traffic for 2 hours....NOT FUN. I was cold at work all day, got a little warmed up when I got home but had to work on christmas card stuff, and it was cold in the basement in my "scrap-studio"....now I am slightly chilled.....I just want to be room tempurture, without the chill. All of the sudden I feel like I have a week to get everything done for Christmas....which I sort of do, I guess....it's more like 2 weeks till the acutal day, but I get together with friends before that so I have to have gifts for them ect....I feel so behind....anyone else feel that?

I recieved my first mystery card. If your name is Kristin, and you live in Florida....how do I know you? Not to mention you said to e-mail you, but left me no e-mail address. Your handwriting was familiar, and you wrote directly to me like you know me well....except I have no clue who you are. I feel horrible, the card seems so personal. So if you are Kristin....gimme a shout and let me know how I know you. And remember if you have moved inform people you moved and give them your new address, it's the polite thing to do......Cousin if you are out there and reading my blog, I know you were moving to Florida.....how about an address?

Budgeting Update

Well I actually used cash at the grocery this past weekend. You would be shocked at what little you can buy on a limited amount of money. Maybe I just need to be a smarter shopper. Oddly enough I found there was no vegitables in the house. Except for frozen peas....barf....hate peas. Bought them only for Ron. He asked why did you buy peas (which I did a while ago) if I'm the only one who will eat them? Um....why should you be deprived, just because no one else likes the tiny little barf balls. Well he got a veggie with his dinner the other night and I did not. Perry has mastered the skill of getting Geegaw to take him to McDonalds almost daily. Which means the food rations can be stretched further....it's all part of the master plan.

12 x 12 best one, originally uploaded by Yoda0419.

I never do 12 x 12 pages, but I did for this project. Click on the page and it'll take you to the other projects. Thanks for everyones support. Sorry my blog is lame lately bloggers got some issues so I'm not able to add any interesting flare or change the font colors....hopefully these pictures will upload.

Amazed by You....

You dance over me while I am unaware
You sing all around but I never hear the sound

Lord I'm amazed by You
Lord I'm amazed by You
Lord I'm amazed by You
And how You love me

You paint the morning sky with miracles in mind
My hope will always stand
For You hold me in Your hand

How deep how wide
How great is Your love for me

Ever get the feeling during worship at church that it's just you and God? I do pretty often. God knows that's where he has my full attention, during worship music, now matter where I am, but mostly during sunday morning worship. Such an awesome feeling. These lyric really spoke to me this morning, I think he was preparing my heart for the disappointment I'd feel later in the day when I didn't make the RMH design team....bummer...just not my time is all, but I'd be lying and cold if I said I wasn't bummed. My attempts to wow those doing the voting, just didn't make the cut. The votes were close so that's not to say I didn't miss out by one vote. Or not....doesn't matter in the end I scrap for me....my family too, but mostly me, and I really did a great job as far as I'm concerned and that's what matters. For some reason Bloggers not letting me post pictures so I'll do it from Picaso. Thanks to those who put up with my stress this past week when I was preparing my projects, you gave me great support.

Bugfree

Well we've all been treated, except Ron, um he's bald. Everythings been washed, and mom has picked teadiously through my hair, (she's got skills from when Ashton had the dreaded bugs in Kindergarten) and declared me bugfree. Now if they descover them again it's the punks at the bus stop....or again they are being harvested under his scalp. I'll tell you what though my scalp has never looked so clean. So all the projects have been posted for the Design Team gig at RMH....yowza that's some stiff competition....everyones so good and so different. I'm having a tough time choosing....argh...now I know what the current design team has to go through when theres a contest. I did a 12 x 12 layout, man that was hard, but I pulled it off. Regardless win or lose I'm really proud of my entry, I stayed true to my style and thats what matters to me.

I swear I'm not Icky.....

I love photo's like this....his face is so sweet. The boat is sweet too. Ok so here is what is causing all the damn stress...not the only thing, but it is rather stressful. LICE IS THE DEVIL!!! There I said it and have lost quite a few hangout friends now, I'm sure. Thankfully quite a few of my blog faithfuls live across the country so they can't get it. OMG.....4 times this boys been sent home 4 times I've washed bed clothes, dude I have mayonaise in my hair.....my house has never been cleaner......who in the heck is rubbing heads with my kid and reinfesting him every other freakin day??? Um my husbands BALD.....so it ain't him. I think those little parasites are sprouting from his scalp. They are coming from inside his head or something. They are mutant inside the head lice....those bastards.... Posted by Picasa

Stress

Stress has cause a ginormous zit to form on my chin, and damn does it hurt. I'll be done with Stress saturday so until then, blogland could be very very quiet. Good news, we found our book of Christmas Questions. We have another book of questions around here somewhere, but this one works for now....I'll pick one....

#247 What has been the greatest blessing in your life since last Christmas?

I like to start of deep.
